A Lineage of Knowledge,
A Life of Service
“From the ancient philosophy of Mandan Mishra to the modern movement of inclusive education.”
The Ancestral Foundation
Dr. Alok is a descendant of Mandan Mishra, a contemporary of the revered philosopher Adi Shankaracharya (800 BC). This lineage instilled in him a deep respect for Gyan (Knowledge) and a lifelong commitment to Seva (Service).
The Formative Years
1975: Beginnings in Purnea
Dr. Alok’s journey began in Purnea, Bihar. Nurtured by his parents’ love, a foundation for a compassionate life was laid from his very first breath.
1979: The First Guru
Commenced education at Aadrash Madhya Vidyalaya. His teacher and uncle, Sh. Vedanand Mishra, fostered his curiosity and love for learning.
1985: Ideals of Sarvodaya
His father’s transfer to Sarvodaya Buniyadi Vidyalaya exposed him to the ideals of “Universal Uplift,” a philosophy that shapes his work even today.
“Outstanding”
In 8th grade, Alok was punished and made to stand “outside” the class. From that vantage point, he saw a boy with cerebral palsy being mocked at the school gate.
“Standing outside, I realized that being ‘outstanding’ gave me a view those inside didn’t have. I saw the pain of being left out. I decided then to dedicate my life to bringing everyone INSIDE.”
