A Life Devoted to Inclusion
Dr. Alok Kumar Bhuwan is a rehabilitation scientist, educator, and social leader dedicated to advancing the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities. As the Founder and Managing Secretary of Manovikas Charitable Society, he has pioneered inclusive higher education, self-advocacy movements, early intervention models, and community-based skill development initiatives across India.
His work bridges policy and practice — from classrooms and families to universities, corporations, and national government systems — ensuring that inclusion moves from theory into everyday life.
Ancestral Inspiration
Inspired by his father, Vaidya Pandit Kailash Mishra ("Deenbandhu"), Dr. Bhuwan inherited a legacy of selfless service.
